RWS_ED_DELETE


Purpose

Marks the contents of a string as an editorial deletion.

Syntax

RWS_ED_DELETE(vString, CiteURL, aClass)

Parameters

vString A string variable containing the text to be marked as deleted. On return, the variable contains the modified string.

CiteURL The URLClosed Uniform Resource Locator - a web address.  of an HTML document that cites the reason for the change.

aClass A dynamic array that can contain the following elements:

CLASS

The name of a tag class defined in a CSSClosed Cascading Style Sheet - a mechanism by which the presentation of an HTML page can be separated from the content. A style sheet can be used to determine the appearance of one or more HTML pages.  stylesheet.

CITE

The URLClosed Uniform Resource Locator - a web address.  of an HTML document that cites the reason for the change.

DATETIME

Allows you to include a specially encoded date and time stamp indicating when the deletion was made. The value of the DATETIME attribute must be in the format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssTZD (see RWS_ED_INSERT for details)

In current browsers, the only way of accessing the CITE and DATETIME attributes is to view the source.

Attributes defined in the aClass parameter are applied to the DEL tag.
