RWS_ED_INSERT


Purpose

Marks the contents of a string as an editorial insertion.

Syntax

RWS_ED_INSERT(vString, CiteURL, aClass)

Parameters

vString A string variable containing the text to be marked as an insert. On return, the variable contains the modified string.

CiteURL The URLClosed Uniform Resource Locator - a web address.  of an HTML document that cites the reason for the change.

aClass A dynamic array that can contain the following elements:

CLASS

The name of a tag class defined in a CSSClosed Cascading Style Sheet - a mechanism by which the presentation of an HTML page can be separated from the content. A style sheet can be used to determine the appearance of one or more HTML pages.  stylesheet.

CITE

The URLClosed Uniform Resource Locator - a web address.  of an HTML document that cites the reason for the change.

DATETIME

Allows you to include a specially encoded date and time stamp indicating when the insertion was made. The value of the DATETIME attribute must be in the format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssTZD, where

  • YYYY is the year
  • MM is the month (01=January, 12=December)
  • DD is the day (01 to 31)
  • T is a required character marking the start of the time segment
  • hh is the hour (00=midnight, 23=11pm)
  • mm are minutes
  • ss are seconds
  • TZD is the time zone descriptor. This can be one of three values: Z, to indicate Greenwich Meantime; +, to indicate hh:mm:ss after Coordinated Universal Time (CUT); or -, to indicate hh:mm:ss before CUT
