T-VERIFY
Compares two tapes and reports any data mismatches.
Command Class
TCL-I command.
Syntax
T-VERIFY channelA channelB
Syntax Elements
channelA/B Channel assignments previously made using ASSIGN, specifying the units containing the tapes to be compared.
Comments
Before using T-VERIFY, you must use ASSIGN to attach the required tape units to the port and give them channel letters.
T-VERIFY should be run after a T-COPY to check that the copy was successful. It ignores the date and time in the tape label as this is updated by T-COPY.
If multiple reels are verified, take care to load them in the correct sequence.
