AFS-CLEAR

Sets the default file creation mode to create standard hashed files.

Syntax

AFS-CLEAR

Comments

AFS-CLEAR cancels automatic file sizing (AFS) mode, set using AFS-SET or with the AutoFileSize configuration parameter. It affects only the current Reality process and persists until logoff or until explicitly cancelled with AFS-SET.

You can also create a standard hashed file by using CREATE-FILE with the Z option.

You can select AFS mode as the default for a database by setting the AutoFileSize configuration parameter. This parameter is normally set in the master configuration file, so that automatic file sizing will be used on new databases.
