UNIX onlyinstallkeys

Installs a Reality serial number and software keys.

Syntax

installkeys {-o} keyfile

Parameters

-o Overwrite any existing serial number.

keyfile The path to the file containing the serial number and keys.

Availability/Restrictions

Can be used by the super-user only.

Comments

If the key file contains a serial number, then:

• If the system does not have a serial number the serial number key will be installed.
• If the system has the evaluation serial number, the new serial number will replace the current serial number.
• If the system has any other serial number, the new serial number will replace the current serial number only if the -o switch is specified.

Feature keys that do not correspond to the installed serial number key are rejected.
