BASIC.CONVERSION Account (m605003_basicconversion.htm)
BASIC.CONVERSION contains files which maintain a record of the DataBasic conversion process, executed during a SYS-UPDATE from pre-4.x Reality or Reality 7.0, or from a machine of a different byte ordering.
The BASIC-CONVERSION account can be saved and then deleted, once the SYS-UPDATE has been shown to have correctly converted the BASIC object code.
The BASIC.CONVERSION account contains three files.
CONVERTER.LOG
contains a log of items for each BASIC program in
POINTER-FILE, needing
conversion, with a code in attribute 3 indicating the result of the conversion.
PRIOR.PF contains a copy of each POINTER-FILE item prior to conversion.
PRIOR.OBJ Contains a copy of each $item prior to conversion, but with the same item id as the POINTER-FILE item.
