Changes the printer translation table entry for a specified Despooler.

is the name of the Despooler using the printer translation table.
translation-table (Translation Table #

is the number of the translation table entry.
Restrictions
Changes to a translation table being used by an active Despooler do not become effective until the Despooler is stopped and re-started.
Translation table
A translation table lists an input character set with hex values against a corresponding output character set with hex values. A specified translation table is used by the Despooler to translate the print data in the formqueue into corresponding output characters before being despooled. Translation tables are set up in the DENAT account.
To set up a translation table:
- Log to the DENAT account.
- Select Option 3. -
Character tables maintenance
. - Select Option 2. -
Build a translation table
. - Enter the name of the file to contain the table.
- Enter the translation table number.
- Enter a description of the table.
- Enter the hex code of the translation character required for each printable character entry displayed in turn on the screen.
Example 1
To change the translation table entry used by the Despooler called NEC/LIB to 3, enter:
SP-STATUS
Then select Action Code 8 at the Form Queue Status screen prompt:
Enter Action Code / Page Number (P#)?8
Finally, enter the queue name and table number in response to the prompts, as follows:
Despooler Name - Translation Table #:NEC/LIB 3
Example 2
To change the translation table entry used by the formqueue called FRENCH to 3, enter:
SP-TRANSLATE FRENCH 3
