SYSMAN Account
SYSMAN is an account provided specifically for the database administrator. It has unique facilities not available to any other account. These include:

Setting up and maintenance of user-ids, security profiles and password definitions, via the SSM command;

Deletion of accounts, via the DELETE-ACCOUNT command;

Setting up and modification of passwords for other users, and for accounts, via the PASSWORD command.
Access to SYSMAN should be restricted. The SYSMAN master dictionary (MD) contains a full set of command definition items.
System files in SYSMAN are listed below:
SYSPL Contains system Proc items.
SYSBP Contains system DataBasic program object items.
SYSBP.MSGS Contains message items for system DataBasic programs.
NETWORK Contains network profiles; that is, security data for a particular location, identified by a PLId (or partial PLId) item-id. This information is maintained by using the SSM command, SSM Option 1 - Define Network Profiles, NETWORK FILE MAINTENANCE screen.
PW.DEFINITIONS
Contains password definitions for users and accounts. This information is maintained by using the SSM command, SSM Option 6 - Define Password Definitions, USER PASSWORD DEFINITION FILE MAINTENANCE or ACCOUNT PASSWORD DEFINITION FILE MAINTENANCE screen.
REALITY-LICENCE
A licence view special file that contains details of the available user and despooler licences and their current usage. In particular, it includes details of the following:

The number of days until your user, temporary and despooler licences expire.

The number of licences that you have reserved for special purposes, such as SQL, remote subroutine calls and RealWeb.
SECURITY Contains security profiles: this information is maintained using the SSM command, SSM Option 3 - Define Security Profiles, SECURITY FILE MAINTENANCE screen.
USERS Contains user profiles; that is, security information for particular user-ids on the database. Each item-id is a user-id. This information is maintained using the SSM command, SSM Option 2 - Define User Profiles, USERS FILE MAINTENANCE screen.
