Comments
-
When run without options, Install_SN prompts the user for a serial number and a customer id.
-
When run with the -i option, If the key file contains a serial number key, that key is installed, overwriting any existing serial number.
Serial numbers have an installation date and are valid for 3 days; installation is allowed only during that 3-day period.
Note
The preferred method of installing a serial number is:
-
UNIX: use the installkeys host utility.
-
Windows: use the Reality installation program. Depending on your version of Windows, this can be run from either Add or Remove Programs or Programs and Features in the Windows control panel; refer to the Reality on Windows Installation Guide for details. Note, however, that this will not overwrite an existing serial number (except the evaluation serial number).
