SORT-ITEM

Outputs all attributes of the specified items, displaying each attribute on a separate line preceded by an attribute number. It sorts the items in item-id or specified order.

Syntax

SORT-ITEM file-specifier{item-list}{selection-criteria}{USING file-specifier}{sort-criteria}{format-specification}{macro-call}{(options}

Special Options

F Starts a new page for each item.

Comments

Use LIST-ITEM if you do not need the items sorted.

Sort criteria should only be used with SORT-ITEM.

Conversion codes in the dictionary are not applied to the data.

At this point you must press RETURN to display the next page as specified by the F output option. If you also specify the P output option, the report is sent to the printer and each item is printed on a separate page.
