Retrieving an Archived Clean Log
This procedure enables you to load a clean log onto the database from tape.
Procedure
- Select option 1 on the Miscellaneous menu. A message is then displayed describing the purpose of the procedure and prompting you to confirm that you wish to continue.

If you enter
y
at the confirmation prompt, you are asked to specify the name of the clean log you want to retrieve at the prompt:Enter name of Clean Log to load or <cr> for default:
Enter the required clean log name, or press return to load whichever clean log is on the tape you use.
Note
Clean log names are case sensitive. For example, CLOG must be entered as upper-case.
- You are then prompted to select the tape device required for the clean log load. A list of tape devices available on the database is displayed. Enter the appropriate tape device number.

You are then asked to confirm that the correct tape is loaded on the selected tape device:
Is correct tape mounted on tape unit n (y/n/q) ? :
Ensure that the correct tape is mounted and then enter
y
. The clean log is copied from tape onto the database and the procedure is completed, returning you to the Miscellaneous menu.
