SP-EJECT - Ejecting Blank Pages from a Printer

Creates a print job comprising a specified number of form-feeds only; that is, blank pages to be ejected from the printer.

Syntax

SP-EJECT {n}

Syntax Elements

n is the number of form-feeds. The default is 1. The maximum is 10.

Comments

If you specify more than 10 form-feeds, only one page is ejected. An error message is not displayed.

On a UNIX host, when despooling to a system (SYS) or private (PTR) printer, a UNIX banner message may be output prior to the form-feeds. This will depend on how the UNIX printer interface script is written.

Example

To eject two pages from the printer attached to the assigned formqueue, enter:

SP-EJECT 2
