UPDATE-SERVICE-LOG

Forces a licensed service report to be generated and logged in the appropriate data section of the file SERVICE-LOG in the SYSFILES account.

Syntax

UPDATE-SERVICE-LOG service

Syntax Elements

service The name of the licensed service for which a report is to be generated; that is, the name of a data section in SERVICE-LOG.

Comments

SERVICE-LOG contains a data section for each licensed service. To list the data sections, log on to the SYSMAN account and enter:

LISTFILES SERVICE-LOG

Statistics are normally logged when a licensed service call is made, but only if it is an hour or more since the last report. UPDATE-SERVICE-LOG allows you to do this at any time.
