FIND

Searches all files defined on an account for a specified item-id.

item-idis the item-id that you want to find.

Prompt

If you enter the command without the item-id, the following prompt displays:

Item-id of lost item:

Enter the name of the item you want to find.

Comments

The FIND command searches the account's MD for the file definition items (D-pointers) and then searches those files (including the MD) for the specified item. If the system finds an item, you are given the option to edit it. Files on other accounts referenced by Q-pointers are not searched.

For example:
