Network Error Messages

The following messages may be displayed when attempting to use network facilities.

Reality Database Initialisation Failed (49007)

Database is in use by another version of Reality.

Reality Database Initialisation Failed (49004)

The Reality database is locked.

Database daemon not found
Reality Database Initialisation Failed (49009)
Host 'system' disconnecting

The central Reality daemon (UNIX) or Windows service has crashed.

Password:

One of the following reasons:

• Remote account requires a password.
• Remote host, database or account does not exist (return at prompt displays Invalid logon attempt).
• User profile does not permit remote logon (return at prompt displays Invalid logon attempt).
• Account is listed as inaccessible in user's security profile (return at prompt displays Invalid logon attempt).
• Remote account is defined as inaccessible for Reality database user (return at prompt displays Disconnected).

Host 'system' disconnecting

User-id defined as network-id does not exist or is disabled on the Reality database.

CONNECTION REFUSED

Network is 'down' or entry is not present in the ROUTE-FILE.

hostPathname is not a valid database name
Host 'system' disconnecting

Database does not exist.

NO VIRTUAL PORTS AVAILABLE

• The virtual ports feature is not enabled on a proprietary Reality system.
• All virtual ports are in use (try again later).

DEVICE NOT ACTIVE

S-LAN has been stopped on proprietary REALITY system (for example, by execution of STOP-DEV).
