This procedure must be carried out before you can start Transaction Logging on the database. It creates the clean log sub-directory for the database and enters its pathname in the database configuration file. Transaction Logging looks in the database configuration file when it needs to locate a clean log.
Notes:
y  to continue.You are then asked to select the resilience option that you want to configure:
Configure database for :
        1. Transaction Handling
        2. Stand-Alone Transaction Logging
        3. Shadow
        4. FailSafe/Heartbeat (Heartbeat on UNIX Only)
        5. Stand-Alone Rapid Recovery
       
        Enter option (1-5) :
	Select option 2 to start the procedure to configure the database for Transaction Logging.
Note: If Transaction Logging is already configured, the following message is displayed:
Transaction Logging already configured Do you want to continue (y/n/q) ? :
Enter y  to re-configure 
	Transaction Logging.
If you are configuring Transaction Logging on a partition database, you are then prompted:
Do you wish to set up database for Rapid Recovery File System (y/n/q) ?:
Enter y  to enable Rapid Recovery on this database, 
	or n  to continue without configuring Rapid Recovery 
	(refer to
	Introduction to Rapid Recovery and
	Configuring Rapid Recovery 
	for more information).
You are then prompted for the path of the database's clean log directory:
Enter full path name of Clean Log directory (log_directory/n):
Enter the full clean log directory name. Entering n  
returns you to the Configuration and Setup menu.
If you are re-configuring, any new clean log sub-directory you specify will overwrite the clean log sub-directory entry currently in the database config file.
You are then prompted for the name to be given to the clean log sub-directory to be used by the database.
OK to make Clean Log subdirectory database_name,(y/n/sub_dir_name):
Enter a name for the clean log sub-directory or 
y  to accept the default (normally the database name).
If you enter a name instead of accepting the default, you are prompted to confirm that it is correct.
If the clean log sub-directory already exists, you will be asked whether to overwrite it.
If you answer y  to all these prompts, Transaction Logging 
	with be configured with the parameters you have specified. You are then returned to the 
	Configuration and Setup 
menu.
If you answer n  to any of the prompts, you will be 
	re-prompted for the clean log details.
