R - Replace Character

Replaces the character at the current cursor position.

Action

The Replace Character command allows you to replace the character at the current cursor position.

When you press R to invoke the command, the Status/Command Line prompts:

Enter a New Character

When you type a character, it replaces the character at the current cursor position.

If you press RETURN, the command is cancelled.
