SHUTDOWN

Logs off all users of the current database.

Syntax

SHUTDOWN

SYSMAN account only.

Comments

Caution

This command disconnects all users from the database without warning and without explanation. If you wish to use this command, it is recommended that you warn users first.

Each user logged of by SHUTDOWN will see the message:

reality: logged off by SIGTERM signal (15)

followed by the LOGOFF banner.
