K - Unlock Item

Releases the item lock on an item currently being edited and enters 'browse' mode.

K

Comment

The K command can be used when you want to examine the contents of an item without making any changes to it. The effect is the same as issuing the ED{IT} command with the B option, except that, when a list of items has been supplied to the Editor, only the item currently being edited is affected.

Be careful not to issue the K command after having performed edits on the item unless you do not want to file them, because once you are in 'browse' mode, no updates are allowed.
